It is a pleasure to introduce you to the BARLEY BOYS!
Since they look a little bit like ginger men but we think they are a bit more young and playful we decided to call them 'barley boys' (and no they are not the next boyband!)

200 g of self-raising flour
90 g demerara sugar
40 g caster sugar
50 g of butter
6 teaspoons of orzo coffee Pronto (instant soluble barley)
2 tablespoons of cold water.
First, mix together the sugar and butter, until fluffy.
Then add the egg and slowly add the four and orzo coffee Pronto.
And finally two tablespoons of water.
Make a ball with the dough, wrap it in cling film and place it in the fridge for 1 hour.
Prepare your oven and turn it on at 180 C, then start rolling out the dough and cutting your favourite shapes. We chose a little gingerman shape. Place the biscuits in the oven for 15-20 minutes.
Once your little barley boys are cooked, you can have fun making them little dresses with marzipan ;-)
