The Society of St James is a Hampshire-based homelessness charity, providing accommodation and support to over 1000 people at any given time. The people that we work with often have diverse and complex issues surrounding homelessness, including substance/alcohol addiction and mental health problems. We believe that everyone has a right to a home. We believe that people should be given the opportunity to develop the skills they need to lead a fulfilling life. We believe that everyone deserves not just a second chance, or a third chance, but as many chances as they need to change their lives for the better.in support of local homeless and vulnerable people.

Here we are, it is time to pack our car for the London Vegfest. 
We are soooooooo excited!
We love packing the car to go to the next fair. We prepare our small stand with the same love and care as if we were building our own home.
Come and see our stand (G10) tomorrow and tweet a photo of it (#orzofest) or post it on our facebook wall! We have a lovely prize for a lucky winner.
We love meeting people open to new flavour experiences, people who long to hear the story of our barley, a story we are never tired to tell. We like to see the faces, the way people raise their eyebrows in surprise after they have tasted a cup of our barley and ask 'are you sure it is not coffee?', and it feels really good.
We love to tell people why we are different, why we support organic agriculture, why we want to change the world, one cup of orzo at the time. Come to our stall and find out more. 

Continues...After 2 days at an event, on our way home it feels like coming home from a foreign land, tired but recharged. Happy to have been the first to bring to the UK the unique taste of caffe' d'orzo!

Orzo♥Coffee is very happy to announce its participation to the London VegFest 2013 at Kensington Olympia on the 5th and 6th of October 2013 (Stand G10).
“We are very excited to be part of this event and more importantly to be part of the Movement behind it” says Cristina Comunian,  Communication manager at Orzo♥Coffee, “VegFest is the ideal venue for us, we want to engage with customers ready to truly experience food and discover new worlds, people who care about what they eat and how this impact the world we live in.”
Orzo♥Coffee believes that the happiest customer is the best informed customer. In our case we like people to understand how much caffeine they drink and how this can impact their health in the shorter and longer term. From our experience during other events, we have seen that few people know how their decaffeinated drink is processed, and how much caffeine it actually still contains.We want to change this, and let people know that there is a healthier option for when they want to have a hot drink with NO caffeine. Unlike decaffeinated coffee and tea which are heavily processed to extract caffeine, Orzo♥Coffee barley is naturally caffeine-free, and organically grown and roasted in Italy.

This book addresses all of these issues and takes us month by month through the maze of what to eat and from where. It re-introduces us to a healthy lifestyle and provides good recipes that make the most of all of the seasonal produce that is available to us throughout the year. We just can’t go on repeating the same old mistakes, for example flying fruit and vegetables to our supermarkets out of season. By the time we get it, the food itself has little value in terms of nutrition and we just can’t afford the cost in greenhouse gases any more.
