Dear Gillian, yes it can. The Orziera has a added (removable) little filter that makes sure the barley coffee is perfectly filtered. But if you remove the special filter, you can also use it for brewing traditional ground coffee.

Yes Naomi, if you using coffee the normal espresso setting would be fine. if using our OrzoCoffee, it is ground already the right size ;-) Your comment will be posted after it is approved.
