These are lovely little biscuits we made yesterday. The biscuits have a nice orzo aroma which fits perfectly the sweetness of the pear and vanilla jam we bought from the amazing Strawberry Fields Foods at Petersfield Festival. The only problem: they won't last long :-) Ingredients:
Sieve the flour in a bowl, add the sugar, butter and one egg yolk. Finally add orzo coffee pronto. Work the mix quickly until you obtain a smooth dough. Prepare a ball with the dough and place it in the fridge for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, take the dough, roll it out and chose some flowery cookie cutters. You should be able to cut out 8 full flowers and 8 flower tops with a little cut out in the middle (we chose a heart shape but little circles are also nice). Place all your biscuits in the preheated oven at 170 ° for 20 minutes. Once ready, let the biscuits cool down. It is now time to have fun with our pear and vanilla jam. Place a little spoon of jam on the base of the flower and squeeze the top flower shape together. The jam will come up to cover the cut-out heart. It is time to enjoy your orzo coffee flowers with pear and vanilla jam. Perfect for your elevenses or afternoon tea with a mug of orzo coffee.
